Wastewater Energy Transfer for Sustainable Buildings and Campuses
Monday, November 17, 2025 (12:00 PM - 1:00 PM) (EST)
Description

Join us in learning about Wastewater Energy Transfer (WET) technology and how it can be used to reduce costs, anchor thermal energy networks, and recover heat in multifamily and institutional buildings. Recovering the thermal energy in wastewater creates a closed loop for domestic hot water’s energy demands and can link buildings together in a thermal energy network using existing infrastructure. WET can also significantly reduce the size of geothermal heat exchangers, thus reducing cost and enabling more projects to benefit from geothermal heating and cooling. We will explore the technology’s requirements, capabilities, and a few case studies from across North America.
